With our unlimited options of places to eat out, there has been less emphasis on home cooked meals. But cooking your own food doesn't have to be much of burden. There are many quick and healthy meals that you can learn to prepare at home, saving you money and keeping you in good health. All learner levels are welcome to come and explore vegetarian meal preparation in these cooking workshops!
Every week the Sunday Love Feast takes place. It is an afternoon of Bhakti-Yoga (the yoga of love and devotion). The program includes Tulasi Puja (chanting), Guru Puja (chanting), Bhagavad Gita class followed by Q&A. kirtan meditation (chanting holy names in call and response fashion), dancing, and finally a sumptuous vegetarian feast. Anyone who is interested in kirtan, bhakti yoga, spirituality, Bhagavad-Gita, and/or vegetarianism is encouraged to join us weekly for all or part of the program. …
The Valley Vegan Society holds monthly potluck dinners the in Northampton area for vegans and those interested in becoming vegan to gather, socialize, share food, and create community. Our reasons for becoming vegan include avoiding the animal suffering, environmental destruction, and harm to personal health caused by a conventional diet. Many of our events include a speaker or presentation and lively discussion.
