Vegararian & Vegan Pizza night!

Lonjevity Restaurant, which is just south of downtown on Tamiami across from Sarasota Memorial Hspital, is having a Vegararian & Vegan Pizza night on Tuesdays. Their new chef used to be the chef at Veggie Magic so there are a lot of exciting changes coming. There are some new vegetarian items on the menu, but best is this new night just for us! Is this every Tuesday? What time? I teach a yoga class on Tuesdays (at the Venice YMCA) until 7:15, but I could be up there by 8:30 on a Tuesday.....

Every Tuesday until they get tired of doing it The restaurant stays open until 9 or 10 on weekdays. Definately you could get pizza at 8:15. You could always call in a reservation and that way they know you are coming.

Last night they also had an additional vegetarian menu. Some were items that have only been offered at lunch, like the veggie wrap. Others were new like the Cheese Veg Quesadilla which I tried and it was delicious! Filled with spinach and muchrooms. They also offer it without cheese, or maybe with a vegan "cheese".

I don't know if anyone else has tried this, but I had the Backyard BBQ pizza with tofu last night and it was delicious! Lots of sauce and toppings really made it moist and flavorful. I could feed this to people that aren't even veg and they would like it.
