- Hi, I've been vegetarian and now vegan for 20 years. Originally from Richmond, Virginia, I started the Pittsburgh Vegan Meetup after moving to Pittsburgh in 2006. I was bound and determined to have some vegan friends, now I've got almost 200 of them!
- What's your favorite dish? Favorite local restaurants?

Hmm, so many yummy vegan goodies out there. But, my favorite is probably taquitos with guacamole and tofu sour cream.
- What times and days are good for you to meet, and what aspects of vegetarianism do you hope to discuss?

Food of course. What else do vegetarians talk about? Okay, we do talk about other things, but I have found that a vegetarian meetup without food is a meetup without attendees. Dolt!
- Why did you become a vegetarian

I think killing is wrong in almost every case, and is especially wrong in killing animals for food. There is no need for animal products, leaving no excuse for such barbaric cruelty.
- Are you the only person in your family who is vegetarian?

No, not at all. My two daughters are vegetarians as is their mom. My soulmate and her daughter are vegans like me.
- What type of vegetarian are you? (ie. Vegan, Lacto-Ovo)
