This group is intended for vegetarians who enjoy the spicy side of life!
A lot of Paris vegetarian restaurants can be somewhat bland and--ahem--not so tasty (maybe, most of them are like this). I have a suspicion that they are inspired after a 1970's health-food conscious movement (please feel free to come up with your own theory).
The goal of this group is to look for tasty "spicy" restaurants that may not be 100% vegetarian, but that are vegetarian-friendly. For instance, we can eat at many of the fine Indian restaurants near Gare du Nord or some excellent asian food in the 13th (fried Tofu, yum!). Or even just great pasta in a nice Italian place!
I don't know how great this group would work for vegans, because eating out is already so tough as a vegan. But I'm willing to be tutored on a "spicy" vegan-friendly hangout if someone knows one.
And above all, this is a "social club," not really a place for activism. Just eating out with your fellow vegetarians and talking about life. However, I can direct you to some French activist groups if that's what you're interested in.
So come on out and show people eating veggie can be tasty! DON'T WORRY, IT WON'T BE TOO SPICY!
Hello,
There will be a vegetarian dinner at Les 5 Saveurs D'anada on December 3rd at 19:30. This restaurant is located at 72 rue Cardinal Lemoine. The nearest metro is Place Monge (line 7). The metro Cardinal Lemoine (line 10) is also not too far.
Hope to you see you there,
Nathanael (and thanks to Sophie).
