Hello to all of our members, long term and brand new! It has been such a busy summer for me, and probably you too. I thought a nice way to welcome fall would be a cozy dessert potluck. This will take place in my vintage 1930's cottage, with room for only about 10 people, so please reserve your spot early. Our group includes vegans, vegetarians and non-vegetarians, and raw foodists, etc., so bring whatever dessert works for you. I will serve some beverages, but if you would like something particular, bring it along. I hope to see you there, or at another upcoming fall or winter event! ~~Gail

Welcome to all of our new members! I hope you are enjoying the heavenly summer weather. I have returned from hiatus, and I'm looking forward to seeing you soon, perhaps at this month's event. We will meet at the Tantalus Restaurant in Issaquah. It is a popular place, but cozy in size. The Greek cuisine is delicious, with a good selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, and a great waitstaff. So, come out and reconnect or meet some new veggie friends. ~~Gail

Hello everyone, and welcome to all of our newest members! This month's event will be at the Square Lotus in the Factoria area of Bellevue. Tim Kearney, one of our members, has recommended it as an excellent vegan/vegetarian dining option, with many meatless choices. Welcome to all of our recently joined new members! It seems forever since we have met up, since we had to cancel last month's event, due to the snow. This month's event will be at Joey's Restaurant in Bellevue, in the bar. The bar at Joey's is a slightly swanky affair, offering delicious vegetarian/vegan options in their appetizers. So, dress up a bit, and come out for some conversation, beverages, and snacks, and possibly make some new friends. Perhaps you could extend the evening later with a night out on the town in downtown Bellevue....... I'm looking forward to seeing you there. Gail

Welcome to all of our new members! I can't believe we have 72 members signed on! Please join our group for a dessert potluck at the lovely home of our members, Mark and Bev. This will be a warm, relaxing opportunity for you to meet some new friends, or renew acquaintances. We had this same event last year, and it was quite a success. The plan is for everyone to bring a vegetarian or vegan dessert of your choice. We will have some beverages, but if there is something special that you prefer to drink, by all means, bring it along. Wow! Look at all of the new members! Welcome, everyone. I am looking forward to meeting you soon. We are meeting this month at the Crossroads Mall in Bellevue. If you have not discovered this place yet, you are in for a treat. There is a large food court, with all sorts of ethnic cuisine, including Thai, Vietnamese, Indian, and lots more. You can even mix and match. There is central seating, so we can all sit together. There is a stage, and there will be Cajun, Zydeco and Tex-Mex music at 7:30, if you would like to stick around for it. You could also stroll over to the discount bookstore, shop for groceries at Nature's Pantry, or walk over to the theater for a movie. I hope to see you there! ~~Gail

Hello, Members, and a special welcome to those of you who are new to the group! October is Vegetarian Awareness Month, so spread the word! This month's event will be breakfast at Julia's. Their menu offers a sauteed vegetable dish, the very popular scrambled tofu, soy sausages, among other things. Hello Members, and welcome to all of our recently joined members! This event will be a cocktail party potluck at my home. It is a Roaring Twenties theme party. Everyone is encouraged to dress in 20's style, but it is not a requirement. I do encourage you to dress up at least. It is a cocktail party, after all. Please join the group for a veggie grill potluck at the home of our members Bev and Mark. We will dine outdoors in their lovely garden. Bring your favorite dish to contribute, and the veggie burgers and grilled veggies will be supplied. We did this same thing last summer, and it was one of our biggest hits of the year. It was lots of fun!Please sign on early so that you won't be left out! I will post the address when we are closer to the event date.
