This month's special presentation is a DVD PRESENTATION by NEAL BARNARD, M.D. on: "A NEW APPROACH TO NUTRITION FOR DIABETES." Neal Barnard, M.D., is a nutrition researcher, author and health advocate . He is founder and medical director of Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine and Adjunct Professor of Medicine at George Washington University.

He has recently conducted studies and written a book on the value of a novel dietary program for Type 2 Diabetes, which sets a new standard for dietary approaches to this increasingly common condition. This diet is also valuable in prevention of obesity, cardiovascular disease, cancer and other conditions.

This DVD provides a guide to moving beyond simply managing disease. It will help you turn most medical condidtions around. It delivers medical results: weight loss, blood glucose control, reduced heart disease risk, and may even reduce or prevent the need for many medications. This empowering program offers new hope and scientifically supported guidance from a caring team committed to success! A New Approach to Nutrition for Diabetes has earned the AADE Favorably Reviewed seal from the American Association of Diabetes Educators.

For the Potluck, bring only raw, organic, VEGAN food sufficient for 8 to 10 people, with an index card listing the ingredients.

The intention of the Raw Foods Gathering is to support those interested in a compassionate and natural wellness lifestyle as well as offer speakers/presentations that educate on the many aspects of preventing illness and maintaining wellness.
